Homework at Towers Junior School

Definition

Homework is any activity which pupils are asked to do outside lesson time, either on their own or with parents / carers

Rationale

Following the publication of the Government guidelines issued by the DFCS for homework, Towers Junior School has formulated this homework policy to meet the needs of pupils in our care. As homework is reliant upon an effective partnership between home and school viewpoints have been sought from all parents via a Homework Survey. The majority viewpoints of both staff and parents are reflected in this policy. The Governing Body has approved the adoption and implementation of this policy.

Towers Junior School E Learning Platforms through our MLE (Managed Learning Environment)

Our Managed Learning Environment was launched in February 2010. Extra activities to practice learning are accessed through the MLE, which according to our children makes learning ‘much more fun’!

The children are issued with a personal password and can use this to access the MLE at this address www.fronter.com/havering
