Peer Mentoring
Peer Mentoring at Towers Federation.
Peer mentoring has been evidenced as having a positive impact on the emotional health and wellbeing of young people.
Peer Mentoring is based on young people supporting each other; matching peer mentors with mentees in one-on-one relationships so they can provide guidance and support, serving as positive role models.
It allows young people to manage and process their thoughts and worries in a safe and familiar environment in a positive way. Peer Mentoring will also help young people to:
- Improve self-esteem, confidence, communication skills, and problem-solving skills
- Improve a sense of belonging
- Improve attendance, academic achievement at school, and reduce behaviour incidents
- Develop friendships in a positive environment Our Peer Mentors have attending training sessions on
