Relationships and Health Education

As we are sure that you are aware, Relationships and Health Education (RHE) will soon be forming part of the National Curriculum, from September 2020.

As part of our wider Personal, Social and Health Education programme at Towers Federation, our RHE curriculum will be delivered by professional teaching staff who will base their lessons on the children’s previous knowledge, ensuring that the content and resources are age appropriate.

The purpose of the upcoming curriculum is to provide knowledge and understanding of safe, positive and healthy relationships based on respect. This is to encourage the development of safe and healthy relationships throughout life. The subject is designed to help children from all backgrounds build positive and safe relationships, and to thrive in modern Britain.

 Schools are required to consult with parents when developing and reviewing their policies for Relationships and Health Education, to inform schools’ decisions on when, and how certain content is covered. At Towers Federation, we value and welcome your views, and therefore we would like to share with you all relevant information and details of our RHE curriculum.
